Dennis Wresch

Dear Friends and Family,

dennis wreschI need your help in supporting a very worthy cause.  I would like you to sponsor me as I swim, bike and run in the Nautica New York City Triathlon for Tuesday’s Children on Sunday, August 7, 2011.

Tuesday’s Children is a non profit family service dedicated to serving every individual who was directly impacted by the events of September 11, 2001 and more recently those lives that have been affected forever by terrorism around the globe.   For almost 10 years, Tuesday’s Children has provided life changing programming to thousands of children who lost a parent on that tragic day.  In addition to serving the families and children of victims, they also provide services and resources for our heroic first responders who gave so much of themselves in the aftermath of this tragedy through their newest program, the First Responder Alliance.

Tuesday’s Children has recently implemented a unique global peace initiative called Project COMMON BOND.  Project COMMON BOND is an international program that brings together young adults from other countries that have been directly impacted by acts of terrorism.  This successful program began in August of 2008 and has hosted teenagers from Argentina, England, Ireland, Israel, Liberia, Palestine, Spain, and the United States.  The 2010 program hosted 65 children from 8 countries at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland

Tuesday’s Children has been selected as a Charity Partner in the Nautica New York City Triathlon 2011.  Tuesday’s Children is currently working with 20 triathletes as part of this very special program.  Each runner has committed to raise at least $2,500 in support of Tuesday’s Children.  Any donation you could make on my behalf for Tuesday’s Children would be much appreciated.  The 9/11 families continue to have a great need for Tuesday’s Children programs and services, specifically the mentoring children aged 8-16 years.

Please feel free to visit the Tuesday’s Children website for more information on their life changing programs and services www.tuesdayschildren.org.  Additionally, do not hesitate to contact Alisha Feltman, Event and Development Coordinator, at (516) 562-9000 should you have questions, wish to make a donation, or require additional information.

Warmest regards,

Dennis Wresch
