Remember September 11th Campaign

In 2009, Tuesday's Children unveiled a very special campaign called "Remember September 11th."

Of the nearly 3,000 people who were killed in the destruction of the World Trade Center in 2001, over 1,200 were employees of financial services firms.  Many of these firms, including Blue Trading LLC, Execution LLC, FactSet, LaBranche Securities, NASDAQ, The New York Stock Exchange, Rafferty Capital Markets LLC, Second Market, Weeden & Company and Yorkville Advisors chose to support this campaign while paying tribute to their deceased friends, family members and associates.

"As we get further from 9/11, it gets tougher to sustain visibility for the needs of those most impacted by the event," said David Weild IV, former Vice Chair of NASDAQ and Board Chair of Tuesday's Children.  Family members, including the thousands of children, remain deeply affected by the loss of their loved ones.  With the needs of the 9/11 Responders growing over time, there is much more work that needs to be done.  "Tuesday's Children, one of the handful of 9/11 family service organizations supporting 9/11 families and responders, has made a long term commitment to be there for them to address evolving needs over the long term.  This is The Promise," said Terry Grace Sears, Executive Director. 

Tuesday's Children invites corporations to participate in The Promise through the "Remember September 11th Campaign."  Participants will make a contribution to Tuesday's Children or will donate a portion of trading commissions on September 11th, any day in between or numerous days. 

Tuesday's Children is honored to have partnered with many influential companies over the past year and look forward to forging new relationships in the years to come.
