toctwd 2010Take Our Children to Work Day 2010

Take Our Children to Work Day occurred this year on April 22nd, 2010.  Tuesday's Children planned a program for the eighth year that matches children with a corporate placement they are thinking about exploring as a future career.  Over 100 interested children observed at companies such as Michael Kors, the Friar's Club, Viacom, ABC, Goldman Sachs, Silverstein Properties, and so many more!  With over 20 amazing companies and over 25 dedicated volunteer chaperones, the day was another huge success.

Lisa, one of the parents in the program told us, "I just wanted to thank you and everyone for another great day!  I know everyone worked so hard and it really showed.  Andrew loved the Friar's club while Matt and Sean felt they had a perfect fit for their choice.  After a few nervous minutes, even Kelsey enjoyed herself.  She talked nonstop yesterday when she got home about how great MTV was and how she got to meet everyone (of course she wants to work there now!)."

toctwd 2010 2During the day, Tuesday's Children hosted a seminar for parents on "Mindful Based Stress Reduction" and "Finding Your Bliss," led by noted clinician Linda Reilly.

Tuesday's Children wants to thank everyone who participated to make this day happen but especially the volunteers at the companies and the chaperones that went above and beyond once again to remind the children the endless possibilities ahead of them.
